For Michael Croom, the desire to help others is what led him to the financial services industry over 20 years ago. As the President and Founder of M&T Financial Group, he works tirelessly to put his clients first by ensuring their assets are preserved so they rest easy at night.

Michael Specializes in retirement planning, annuities, life insurance, estate planning, and a host of other senior services. Michael works with a team of professionals that include Estate Planning Attorneys and Accountants that specialize in tax reduction to make sure no stone is left unturned and that every aspect of a client’s financial house is in order.

Being raised primarily by his grandmother, Michael has a real soft spot in his heart for seniors and they are his focus whether they are pre-retirement or currently retired. Preserving assets and eliminating surprises are among Michael’s highest priorities.

Michael and his wife Traci currently resides in Los Angeles, California, but have dual residency in Michigan, and they have five adult children. Michael is most passionate about his family and his Christian Faith. He’s involved in many auxiliaries within his church.

After graduating from Michigan State University, Michael spent two and a half years in Togo, West Africa as a Peace Corps Volunteer. Thirty-plus years later, Michael has maintained relationships with the people of Togo and currently raises support for various missions that assist the people of Togo in the areas of Healthcare, education, and local church development. As recent as 2018, Michael and Traci took a personal trip to Togo which included delivering supplies and financial support.

When not in the office, Michael enjoys spending time with family, working with the youth within his church, golfing, and traveling. Michael’s favorite place to travel is whichever new international destination he and Traci choose next. Michael’s next dream trip is for him and Traci to travel to Antarctica which will complete his travels to all seven continents of the world.
